A Letter from the Editor

By: Lauren Campbell, Editor-in-Chief

Hello everyone! Summer really flew by, didn’t it? It feels like just yesterday I was studying for finals in May, and now we’re back.

If you don’t know me, my name is Lauren Campbell, the new Editor-in-Chief here at The Review. I am a sophomore English major, an Art History minor, and most importantly, an avid Steelers fan. I also live in Bonaventure Hall, which is a bit awkward considering its closing after this year.

Regarding The Review itself, we have a lot to catch up on. We have a new Copy Editor, Vayda Pascarella! Vayda and I will be working closely together to get The Review to its very best self.

We also have a lot of new staff writers, Ava Adams, Mariano Jimenez, Lauren Brown, Meghan Mcginley and Matthew Thomas! I’m so happy to have them on board.

I cannot begin to express how excited I am to be taking the reins and working with the staff to make another year of The Review happen.

But it’s you, dear reader, who I want to talk to the most. Did you know you can contribute to The Review without being a part of our staff?

If you have any opinion pieces or works of creative writing you’re particularly proud of, The Review would be more than happy to feature them in our issues! Submitters are paid per article submitted, if accepted and featured. Please email me at @lauren.campbell3@stvincent.edu if you are interested or have a submission you would like us to consider.

The Review is also happy to advertise community events or entities, including clubs, campus events, and local businesses, in exchange for payment. If you are interested in advertising, email our business manager Kaylin Welsh, kaylin.welsh@stvincent.edu, for more information. Specifically, cost, page size, and how often you want your ad published.

Lastly, if you have any feedbrack, praise, or constructive criticism regarding an issue, article, or the paper itself, please do not hesitate to contact me or The Review. We also are happy to hear any ideas you have for stories or articles.

Thank you for reading, I wish you all well this fall semester!
